I Never Thought I Could Share My Writing With Others began with texts written by my students in Afghanistan, reflecting on their everyday lives under Taliban rule and the changes they experienced before and after the Taliban’s return to power. I later shared these texts with students at Hersleb High School in Oslo, who responded to the stories through visual works.
The resulting texts and visual works were brought together in an artist’s book and a multimedia installation, presented at Gamle Munch as part of the EMPWRNG VOICES festival.
